How to Use Rapan® Clay Blue and Yellow
Rapan®
Blue and Yellow Cambrian Clays are being widely used in SPA,
cosmetic industry - as a constituent of cosmetic products and on
its own, e.g. in facial and body masks, in physiotherapy - to help
with aches and pains, strains, sprains, contusions, backache.
As we have mentioned earlier, they are widely and successfully used in balneology and peloid therapy treatments at various resorts
Home use: Clays can also be safely used at home, both as a general relaxant and detoxifying remedy in baths, and to help with various health problems, such as arthritis, muscle/back aches and pains, stress, fatigue, digestive problems, nervous tension, bruises, contusions, common cold, food poisoning, constipation, open wounds, acne, tonsillitis, etc
Applications:
Bath: Mix 3-4lbs (1.5-2kg) of Rapan clay with just enough water to fully submerge the body, at 37-38°C. Let the clay hydrate for 15 minutes. Stir the water before getting into the bath. Start by staying in the bath for 10-15 minutes. Increase up to 30-40 minutes. Use for detox (the pores dilate in warm temperatures helping ionic exchange between clay and the body), when stressed, tired, recovering from an illness, to help with muscle aches, arthritis, skin problems, etc. For better effect, add Rapan salt (200-300g) to increase ionic exchange capability of clay in a clay bath.
Body wraps: Fill with a 10 % solution of Rapan salt and knead to get a homogeneous mass.Warm it up on a water bath to 50-60 °Ñ. Spread in an even layer over the body. . Duration of procedure: 30-40 min.
Facial Pack: Mix clay with water to a smooth paste (using approximately 50% water) and spread evenly over the face; let dry for 20 minutes, then remove with warm water. Use moisturiser to nourish the skin afterwards.
Acne: Mix with water to make a facial pack. Apply daily. Skin disorders: Mix with water and apply to an affected area. Can be used for warts, athletes foot, yeast fungus, ringworm, sunburns, scalp, pimples, cuts, boils, cold sores, and shingles, etc.
Foot bath - use 200g of clay in a foot bath to help soothe aching and tired feet. Add 100g of Rapan salt to multiply the effect and promote ionic exchange.
Compress - mix clay with enough warm water to form a semi-liquid paste, spread over a clean cloth and apply to an affected area (normally the area of localised problem, such as arthritis, strain, sprain, back problem, etc.). Cover the area with warm cloth. Leave on for 30 mins-1hour.
Poultice - mix with enough very warm water (50-60°Ñ) to form spreadable mass. Apply a thin layer directly to the skin. Cover with cling film and wrap up with warm cloth. Leave on for up to 1 hour. Use where the affected area is large.
